FIREHOUSE AMERICAN EATERY DESCRIPTION: Firehouse American Eatery in the Pacific Beach neighborhood went through a complete remodel in Dec 2010 of their downstairs. We were very honored to be asked to build all the booth and table tops, as well as communal 10' long table (pictured HERE) and a round coffee table (not pictured). For the tables they like the tone of Sugar Gum Eucalyptus with an oxidizing agent. The communal table is a mix of Sugar Gum Eucalyptus and reclaimed, fire-blackened douglas fir with a custom fabricated, blackened steel base. The coffee table is California Pepper with a reclaimed Redwood 2x4 in the middle and a custom fabricated, blackened steel base. We also provided all the reclaimed redwood and cedar fenceboards they used for the wall cladding. It's been sterilized in our kiln, straight lined on both sides, and finished with a hand-rubbed wax


Each piece of SDUT furniture is one-of-a-kind. Some of the items pictured here have already been sold, but we're able to custom-build pieces based on these designs, as well as modify them according to your vision. Due to variations in each slab of wood, new orders will not be identical to the item pictured. Dimensions are as described, and while you can always expect the same superior craftsmanship, the color, grain pattern and type of wood may vary.
