Kettle & Stone

Kettle & Stone reflects a long-standing relationship with the owner, Rena. Years before the café opened, we salvaged a Eucalyptus tree from her property. That same tree later became part of the space—transformed into furniture and integrated into the build.

W Lewis St, San Diego, CA

Eucalyptus, Redwood, Coastal Oak. Long-term relationship, full-circle material use.

We also constructed a redwood parklet during COVID for outdoor dining and contributed to her later project, Phoenix, supplying coastal oak and additional wood elements. This project shows what’s possible when material, client history, and long-term collaboration align.

There is history in the space. The tree we saved years ago is now part of what people experience every day.
