Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina Lobby

W Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA
Redwood and Black Acacia. Large-scale architectural installation.

Working with the design team at Street Sense, we contributed to multiple large-scale features throughout the Marriott Marquis lobby. The most prominent is a 32-foot oar wall composed of 241 individually crafted oars, built from reclaimed Balboa Park redwood and toned to resemble walnut.

Additional work included a hexagon tile wall made from black acacia and other integrated wood elements across the space. The project required precision, repetition, and consistency across a large visual field.
